Who We Are - What We do

The Eastern Heating & Cooling Council (EHCC), a.k.a. ‘the Council’, is a 501(c)(6) non-profit educational organization comprised of HVAC contractors, distributors, manufacturers and other trade allies. Since its formation in 1990, the Council has provided quality technical training to the HVAC community throughout the United States, offering a large selection of courses and seminars, which are offered in two ways:

Open classes are administered solely by EHCC. The venue is provided either by EHCC or one of our trade allies. These classes are open to all HVAC professionals and promoted by EHCC.

Closed classes are administered by our trade allies using EHCC instructors; our partners provide the venue and the promotion.

Industry Affiliations

EHCC has fostered relationships with various training institutions nationwide. Training continues to be a collaborative effort between the Council and professional institutions dedicated to providing quality HVAC instruction in conjunction with the commitment to serve the community.

The Council also continually nurtures its connection with the community of HVAC consumers by educating them on the importance of energy efficiency and providing an online HVAC contractor search.

Furthermore, EHCC has developed installation standards, continuing education requirements and a Code of Ethics, which all HVAC associates must abide by in order to maintain membership in the organization.

The Council supports and is a member of the local ACCA Delaware Chapter and the ACCA North Jersey Chapter. In addition, it has cultivated affiliations with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the Office of Innovative Technology and Market Development, and the New Jersey Builders Association.

EHCC has developed strong partnerships with trade allies, industry organizations, manufacturers and distributors, as well as Federal and State agencies. Some of these professional trade organizations include:
